"Keeping It In The Family"

Many of our members probably don't even know this but...

we found out at the Shriners Hospitals For Children Cruise at Stopper's & Barb's that...

Tammy G was giving one of her kidneys to her brother-in-law Joe!

After going through all the necessary tests it was determined that Tammy is a perfect match and so this remarkable woman is giving the greatest Christmas gift ever, the gift of life!

The Jukebox Cruisers Car Club has assured her that during this time she has our support and love, not to mention our prayers. We are behind her 100%

There is nothing our car club can do that even comes close to our honorary member's act of selfless charity. We hope Tammy's recovery is a speedy one, so that the Jukebox Cruisers Car Club can continue to benefit from her beautiful voice during our 2008 cruisin' season.

The surgery went well and both Tammy and Joe are doing fine.

Tammy is in good spirits and got home from the hospital Sunday January 6th!

Joe is feeling fine and his new kidney is working well and he got home on January 8th!

Surra introduces ‘show car’ registration bill

HARRISBURG, Jan. 14 – Custom-car and show-car enthusiasts in Pennsylvania would see the burden of Pennsylvania’s new, enhanced vehicle inspection requirements reduced for them under legislation introduced today by state Rep. Dan Surra, D-Elk/Clearfield.

Surra’s legislation (H.B. 2163) would waive many of the enhanced inspection requirements put in place last year for custom cars and rebuilt cars that are used primarily for exhibition.

Legendary Philadelphia radio broadcaster Hy Lit has died at age 73!

The disc jockey suffered complications following knee surgery and passed away

Saturday Nov. 17th.

Lit spent over half a century in the entertainment business. He brought the Beatles to Philadelphia in 1964, during a decade-long run at WIBG -- “Wibbage” -- and yeah, he coined the term. He worked at several stations in town, including most recently, 16 years at WOGL. He also worked in TV, and even as an announcer for the Harlem Globetrotters.

The members of the Jukebox Cruisers Car Club express our deepest condolences to the Lit family on the passing of a remarkable radio legend,

Hy Lit.

JUKEBOX CRUISERS CAR CLUB

Earns National Recognition As Recipients Of The Coveted

"Eagle One Golden Rule Award"

Turning their passion for cars into compassion for others has earned Car Clubs in four National Regions the 13th annual Eagle One Golden Rule Award for the most outstanding community service programs during 2005.

The Golden Rule Award honors car clubs for outstanding achievement in community service. A car club in the West, Midwest, East and South whose community and charitable activities are judged the most outstanding in its region during the year 2005 will receive the coveted award. A runner-up club in each region will also be honored.

Each winning car club will receive a custom-designed award, and Eagle One and Valvoline will each send a $250 cash contribution to a charity designated by each of the four winning clubs. Each winner and runner up will receive a generous supply of Eagle One products and Valvoline's MaxLife motor oil for fund-raising purposes.

"Eagle One is proud to recognize and reward Car Clubs for the good works that they perform in their communities, while actively engaged in the preservation and restoration of one our country's greatest historical heritages, the automobile," said Doug Zalla, V.P. Marketing of Eagle One.
